Dear respected customers,
It has come to our attention that many of our customers have preordered the X3 from our dealers around the world, and many of these customers are still waiting for their X3. At the same time, some X3's are currently immediately available in retail. We have received inquiries from several preorder customers as to the cause of such a situation and what may be done for them to obtain their X3's as quickly as possible, via preorder or otherwise.
Firstly, we would like to note that it is not a global FiiO policy to hold preorders of our new products, although many local retailers understandably want to satisfy advance customer demand by holding preorder activities. FiiO does not take account of dealers' preorder amounts when sending out batches of its new products--not is it able to, for dealers can easily falsify such preorder data.
Thus, preorders of new FiiO products are coordinated only to the extent that (presumably) each retailer will place priority on satisfying preorders using its allotment of new product units, the latter of which however may not be in proportion to the amount of preorders they have received.
Thus the situation where preorder customers are waiting for their X3's while at the same time new X3's may be immediately available in retail from other dealers in their country / region.
Obviously, some remedy is required in this situation and this is our second point: we have stipulated that all X3 preorders placed at any of our official dealers be freely cancellable. And in the case that our customer has already paid for the preorder, such payments should be freely refundable, the only exception being any handling charges by any financial intermediaries such as VISA, etc.
Therefore, if you are in the situation of waiting for a preorder X3 and see an X3 immediately available elsewhere, you may cancel your preorder and purchase that other X3.
We would however like to take this opportunity to remind our customers that they are advised to buy from local dealers or e-tailers in their local country or region, as this would avail them of local shipping in the case of our products requiring warranty service, rather than having to ship the product directly back to us in China.
