Help Please....
Being new to this tech.....and probably sounding like the non-tech I am, do I need to download each firmware individually or does the latest contain all previous!??? My new X3 is showing 2.1

You just need to flash the latest, because it does a complete rewrite. You can also roll back to previous firmwares, as I understand. I also got my X1 today. Gorgeous

Yes, you can upgrade your X3 to the latest firmware FW3.3(click here) directly, skipping the middle version.
