The file doesn't matter. Just grab a normal 4 minute song with .OGG format and try to scroll all so ...

Hi, to the ogg format, there are many encoding patterns. Maybe x1 is not compatible well with your ogg files' encording patterns. That is why i suggested you to send me one file to check.

In the older firmwares (like 1.3) the lowest setting for screen timeout was 10 seconds. Now the lowest is 30. 10 seconds is a much better option.

So far the random resetting of the playback position, between shutdowns, in 1.6 beta seems to be fixed.

The add to playlist and heart/favorite options, much like the delete option used to be, can only be accessed on the currently playing file. This needs to be fixed so that those two options can be accessed in the same place where the delete option is. That way, while listening to one song, the user can add to favorites or to an existing playlist, without playing each song.

Too bad there aren't enough x1 owners to get some rock-box firmware for it. And since fiio withdraws its support for x1 already after one year there also won't be more owners in the future. Time to dust off the old creative zen vision =D

It does suck for sure but I'm sure other models are based on similar hardware.  So we might still see RockBox for it and the fact it's still sold on Amazon is no means to give up hope on it just yet.

Hi Yellow

It's ok. No need to do anything. I guess X1 will be first and last FiiO product. Time for me to change to Sony.

Wow, very very satisfiy with the 2.0 firmware.  Updating my library of 8500 songs ( 200GB microSD ) took ~30 min with firmware 1.6, and now it's down to ~5 min. AMAZING improvement

Menu browsing is also much faster.

Hi, kothewto, it seems weird. So if you downgrade it back to 1.6, it will work well? Maybe you could format the sd card in x1, then transfer files back to test.

Also having these problems updating the media library ... 21362 MP3 on 128 GB Sandisk (FAT32) ... update freezes at ca. 21000 files and the X1 needs a reset. Checked file structure and sorted files with disksort ... the problem still remains. Reverting back to FW 1.6 and update problems are gone. Seems that there is a problem with FW 2.0.

During the update of media library under FW 2.0 i've noticed, that reading of the first 7000 - 8000 titles goes relatively quick ... much faster than under FW 1.6 ... but then the reading becomes slower and slower and finally freezes at ca. 21000 files. Maybe this helps identifying the problem.

I have another problem with this latest firmware.
For flac/cue file: When the player encounters a song with an accent "é" the adding of songs is stopped.

Yes it was a French song. I had a cue file with TITLE "Non Non Rien N'a Changé" and the player did not add all songs from that cue-file, but gave no error.
I see now that others reported problems with special characters: X1 - special characters not handled correctly
In my case it is a flac with cue file with an ASCII 233 "latin small letter e with acute".
